So, a while ago I started writing a vampire romance novel. It's a good idea but... it's been done before...it's been done a lot actually. I haven't added to it in a while and I realized that I was simply loosing interest. Today, I started to develop a new idea for a story and it's really got me excited. It's fresh, and I've got a lot more material for this story line already. I almost feel guilty for leaving my vampire romance novel on hold for while but... out with the old in with the new!

Goal Restablished
So I'm finally picking up the goal of becoming a writer again. I'm reading more, writing more, and doing all those little things I need to do to get on the right track. Now, to find the time. That's the hardest part. I really need to work on my discipline and start acting like a writer instead of a dabbler.

I Need to Write MORE!
This girl has some big dreams and one of them is to become a famous author. I know, I know, it's a BIG dream. One that a lot of people have and never achieve but I don't see another choice for my career so try I must.
myself writing a sentence and pacing, writing a sentence and pacing, writing a sentence and pacing, etc. Plus, a lot of the time my dad is there watching TV, wanting me to cook dinner, wanting to take me out to dinner, wanting to take me to a movie, etc. See all the little distractions?Posted by Celtic Rock Chic at 8:33 AM 3 comments

Fingers Crossed
Yesterday in my boredom I wrote a short story. It was very religious and, I
felt, it was pretty good. After revising it and fine-tuning it I decided it was good enough to leave it alone and be satisfied. Then I got an itch, an itch I had to scratch. Feeling brave, I submitted my story to the LDS magazines for review with hopes that it might soon be published. Now, I'm a nervous wreck. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I'm going to need all the help I can get to not go crazy.
