The Fruits of DGM 1110

So, I don't feel like I'm doing so great in this class but... our first assignment was kind of fun. I had to make a collage that was supposed to be "about me." So this is what I came up with. It's kind of dumb and cheesy but it works. I'm curious to see if any of you know who is in the bubble with me.

I chose this word because I indulged in one of my favorite quirks yesterday! I went to the Alpine Cemetery and just wandered around, took some pictures, and enjoyed myself. Got some great pictures that I was just loving. Check it out...

This is the cemetery when I first got there.

So I'm walking along and I see this chair and I'm thinking, "What on earth? Why here?" Then I sat down in the chair and this is what I saw...

Then I noticed this weird headstone that was a kind of blue color...

I loved this that I found. It was a poem for a woman, it was so sweet...

And then I had friends join me...

I still don't know what those birds were. They were huge but I got a pretty close-up look at them and I know they weren't hawks or eagles. I thought they looked like vultures but we don't have vultures around here so I'm not sure.

Hanging around cemeteries is strange, I know. However, that's just me! I'm a quirky girl and that's just the way it is!

Cool Things are Often Discovered During the Midst of Boredom

I was really bored one day and just messing around on my computer and discovered something fun on my Kodak program. I went into the editing portion and saw a tab that said "fun effects." Now, most of them I didn't like except for this one, check it out...

I'm Hurt!

So, I was putting this picture on my facebook account while I was at work and one of my co-workers looked over my shoulder at what I was doing. "Who's that?" he asks and I tell him it's me. His response, "No, that's not you! Or is that you like 5 years ago?" I took the picture on Sunday! Do I really look that ugly at work? Is it really that hard to believe that I can clean up and look nice? I guess so.

Vegas Baby YAY!

So, I went to Vegas and had more fun than should be allowed. My mom even took me to see The Thunder Down Under and I even got my own steamy lap dance, much fun. (Though the grease stuff they put all over themselves feels nasty!) We also went to The Conservatory in The Bellagio and we went to The Secret Garden at The Mirage. It was a good trip. The Weeping Widow

I just thought I'd share this with you. I really love the weeping widow, I think she's beautiful and does an excellent job at invoking sadness. Whoever made her was an excellent artist.

Tell It To The Flowers

Last night I got really bored. I went up to the ampitheater/temple and started snapping pictures. I ended up becoming obsessed with the flowers and got some great shots, well at least I think they're great. Enjoy!

Failed Attempt

So I wanted to go up the canyon last night to get some pictures of the pretty leaves. Well, for some reason I had a bad feeling about going up the canyon alone. Call me superstitious but I listen to those gut instincts so I was dragging my feet a little bit on going. I got a text message from Matt asking me what I was up to and asked him to come with me. YAY! I could go! We get up there and park at one of the turnouts and start taking pictures. Sadly, it was too late and I didn't get very many good pictures. We went up in the trees to get some pictures and when we came back down these people who were parked not too far from us asked us if the guy that went up into the trees after us bothered us. What? We didn't see no guy. They said that the guy saw us go up in the trees and went up after us. Right then I knew why I wasn't supposed to go up the canyon alone. THANK YOU MATT! So even though I didn't get the pictures I wanted, at least I got another shining example of why I need to trust my gut.

Where Did The Weekend Go?

This weekend was so full and went by so fast that's it's left me thinking, "Where did the weekend go?" Friday night I went to The Tavernacle. I love the place but I just didn't have as much fun as I usually do, my heart wasn't in it or something, I don't know.

Saturday Steven and I drove the loop and then went bowling with Heather and Phil. It was a lot of fun and we got some crazy, fun pictures.

Sunday I went hiking with my dad and Steven to Stewart's Falls. It was a lot of fun, we saw a snake and heard some elk. We told wild life stories along the way, it was a good time.
