So, I try not to be hypocritical but... in this case I am. I really hate cute dark haired girls who bleach their hair blond! Us dark haired girls need all the cute ones we can get! (Lord knows I'm not adding to the cuteness) But what about cute blond girls who go dark? How do I feel about them? I LOVE THEM! Case in point, the lovely Dita Von Teese:
ENJOY!

Leaving On a Jet Plane...
Today I'm flying out to Las Vegas and it will be the first time I've been on a plane in 3 years. I
have to admit that I'm a little bit nervous. It's exciting though, I hear people complain about the hustle and bustle of going through the airport but I love it. I'm excited to travel again and I'm excited to be in Las Vegas again, it's one of my favorite places to go. Wish me luck, let's hope I don't have a nervous breakdown! :) (Insert nervous laugh here.)

I...
I am...looking like crap today.
I think...I need my hair trimmed.
I know...I need to write more.
I want...to be home sleeping.
I have...a lot on my mind.
I wish...I could find that special someone to hold me and love me forever. (Yeah, I know, tough luck right?)
I hate...feeling so lonely, seriously, living alone is rough sometimes.
I fear...my dream of being a writer might fall flat on it's face.
I hear... the clicking of the keys as I type, nothing more.
I smell...nothing, my sniffer doesn't work so good.
I wonder...how old I'll be when I finally get married. My guess is pretty old!
I regret...nothing, I know everything happens for a reason.
I love...Heather right now, I couldn't ask for a better friend.
I always...sit by my bedroom window when I read.
I am not...comfortable in this chair!
I believe...that good things will happen for me eventually.
I don't always...enjoy doing my dishes.
I win...Omaha Hold 'Em Poker and Scrabble.
I loose...Pretty much any other game I play.
I never...wear pink.(Mainly because I hate the horrible color!)
I listen...to My Chemical Romance non-stop these days.
I am scared...that someone might try to break into my apartment again.
I read...to distract myself when I'm depressed.
I tag... Matt, Michelle, and Janessa. If you guys want too.

Shower Song
Do you have a shower song? You know, one of those special songs that you always sing in the shower? I do, and I think everyone
could use a good shower song. I sing my song after I get out of the shower, not while I'm in it. My song is "So Fresh So Clean" by Outkast. If you haven't heard it, check it out on youtube. It's a pretty fun song. Life's too short to not sing in the shower so pick a shower song that makes you feel good and go with it. It will help make your day that much better. So I want to know: What's your shower song(s)? Leave me a comment and let me know what you all are jamming out too while you get all fresh and clean!

Upcoming Vacation
My mother decided that she and I needed a vacation so we're going to Las Vegas in October! So excited! After we bought the plane tickets we started browsing online for some entertainment while we're there and came across a little class I want to take
with my mom: Stripper 101. Yeah, you read it right Stripper 101. My mom is being a bit reluctant but I'm going to work on her, see if I can get her to loosen up and go. I think it would be awesome! It's a package that comes with a 75 minute class, a picture of you busting your best move, a t-shirt, and a certificate proclaiming that you are now an official Vegas Stripper. Will I ever use this skill? Maybe on that far away day that I actually get married, but until then it's just something fun I want to do to be able to say that I did it. Pole dancing here I come!

The Tavernacle = Too Much Fun!
Then they did "Baby Got Back" and I couldn't help myself, I stood up and danced. The next thing I knew the guy singing the song had come up to me and started dancing with me. It was a lot of fun and I was really bummed that we didn't have the camera ready. Those would have been some great pictures. Shortly after that it was his turn to go on break and he came over to talk to me. It made me feel so good that someone remembered me after a year! I seriously haven't been up there for over a year and he remembered who I was. I felt special and asked him if I could get a picture with him since he remembered who I was.
I had a really good time and I'm looking forward to going back again! Besides, Troy (pictured above), insisted that I come back soon. I guess I shouldn't disappoint!

Weird Side Note
Today is my half-birthday. Somebody got me turned on to this idea. I was going to celebrate it but now I just don't feel like celebrating. Anyway, I'm 23 and a half today.

Quirks Tag
1. I can’t eat certain foods due to texture. I love the taste of watermelon but the texture makes me gag. That's just one on the list of several foods that I can't eat because of texture.
2. I’m OCD about things being in alphabetical order. Book shelves and movies excluded. When I worked at a daycare I went nuts when someone didn't put the blocks back in alphabetical order.
3. I actually believe in the toothpaste conspiracy. Why on earth would you use a toothpaste your dentist recommends? If you don't get cavities he doesn't get your money.
4. I believe in ghosts. To some people this is quite normal to others this is the weirdest thing they've ever heard. All I have to say is seeing is believing.
5. When I was a little girl I pushed my out-y belly button into an in-y. Then I wanted to do it again but couldn't fish my belly button back out and got upset.
6. The name that I would love to name my daughter means “to murder/destroy” and I still love the name despite the meaning.

Curious Little Thing
This curious little thing I'm holding in my hand was just given to me by a vendor that came from out of state to visit us. I've never quite seen anything like it before. Have you figured out what it is yet? It's a peach! It smells delicious! I'm used to peaches being round fuzzy things. Well, this has the fuzzy part down but as you can clearly see, it's not round. The man who gave it to me told me it's called a donut peach. I like little things like this that remind me that there are so many more mysteries in this world for me to see.

Oh The Dilemma Again!
So a few months ago I thought I was going to get my stimulus check but then I found out I had to wait. I finally got something in the mail telling me that it's coming soon which means I can FINALLY get my
glasses! Before, I went and picked out the 2 pair deal on glasses and had it all ready to go but then they started tacking on all this little extra stuff and it ended up being way too much money. So now I've got to pick one pair of glasses and go with it. The problem is which one? Now I get to go through this again and knowing me I'll probably just pick a totally different pair of glasses other than the ones I originally decided on. Let the dilemma begin!

Addicting!
So growing up an only child meant lots of spare time with nothing to do. I started playing solitaire while listening to music for entertainment at a fairly young age and it's never really left me. Now as an adult I have a great love for music and card games, I bet it's not hard to guess why. These games were my only friend growing up and whenever someone would teach me a
new way to play it was the highlight of my month! Sad huh? Recently a friend of mine taught me a new way to play, she called it "In Hand Solitaire" and I love it! It's nice because you don't have to set it up on a table. The game is played in your own hand so you can play it pretty much anywhere! I'm so addicted that I've actually lost track of time playing it in bed and missed out on some much needed sleep. I play it while everyone else watches TV(which is nice since I don't enjoy TV anyway), I play it when I'm in the car with Steven and he's driving, I play it at work, I even played it in church the other day! I'll have to make sure I leave the cards home so I'm not playing at the dinner table tonight.

What Movie Would You Want To Live In?
My friend Lisa has a blog where she answers this question and then opens it up to anyone else who wants to take a stab at it. I decided it would be fun so I thought about it for a little bit and this is what I came up with.
I would totally want to be a death dealer in Underworld. I would be right there next to Selene in tight leather, packing guns and a vendetta, ready to kill any scurvy lycan that dared show his face. Oh yeah, that would be me. Living in a huge house, all sorts of technology at my disposal, fast cars to drive, and live forever.
south in the 40's would be perfect. No TV and no Internet to distract you. You would actually go outside for long walks instead of browse the Internet. You would actually work on developing talents instead of cutting piano practice short to watch your favorite TV show. I love the styles then, the hair, the make-up and the clothes. Also I would love to live in one of those big plantation homes. They're so gorgeous and I would be just as happy as spiked punch to have my own.
I could also see myself as a Spartan woman in 300. Standing strong next to my warrior, knowing that I may not see him again but being fiercely proud of the way he goes to defend our freedom. Working hard to help our son become the best warrior he can be so he can follow in the footsteps of his father.Posted by Celtic Rock Chic at 8:32 AM 2 comments

Strange but True
So a lot of people have asked me, "What's the deal with you sticking your tongue out all the time?" Well, there's a story behind that.
My mother was 16 years old when she became pregnant with me and the doctor who attended to her decided that was too young. He told her that he knew a nice family that would be interested in adopting me. At first it seemed like a nice suggestion until my mother said no and he wouldn't drop it. He pestered her about it every time she came in for a visit. During the course of my mother's pregnancy a baby was taken from a hospital back east and was never found. With this on their minds and the fact that the doctor wanted so badly to adopt me to someone else, my family was on high alert.
The night I was born my whole family was very vigilant. They tell me that there was not a single minute in that hospital that one of my family members wasn't watching me. Shortly after I was born I decided to give the doctor my opinion on the adoption issue. Apparently, I peed on him and then stuck my tongue out at him.
This is a very popular story among my family, one that is always t
old with a lot of pride in me; so, it's not hard to guess that I was never reprimanded for sticking out my tongue. I never heard things like "Brittany, don't stick out your tongue." or "Stop that, it's rude." So to me it's not rude, it's funny. I don't see that attitude changing; therefore, I'm sure I'll be sticking my tongue out at people until I'm a withered old lady. It's just who I am.
