Hair Dying Disappointment

Even though I'm not much of a girly-girl there are times that one will sneak out of me by surprise and take over for an hour or so. During one of these moments I decided that I wanted to dye my hair. So Cheri came over and we hunkered down for a fun night of laughing and hair dying. To my disappointment, it didn't work. Cheri suggests that perhaps I need a different hair dye and I resolve that in a few months, of course allowing some time for my hair to heal, we'll try it again.

So, a couple of months later, I take a little late night run to Wal-Mart and get Herbal Essences which Cheri, who was with me at the time, swears by. Well, we get home and realize it's 3am. Yeah, we're not doing it that late or early, however you want to look at it. So we agree to do it on Monday and she heads home.

Monday rolls around and I show up at her place with the hair dye and a towel. We dye my hair, which for some reason I always forget is a very uncomfortable process, and again: NOTHING! What's going on? So Cheri is now suggesting that we leave the hair dye on for an hour instead of half an hour. Will it work? Maybe. Will it totally damage my hair? Most likely. I don't know if I'm willing to do that to myself. I've got to figure this out.
