The Book of Esther

I decided not too long ago that I wanted to read The Holy Bible. Well, when I told some of my closest friend and family about his goal they suggested that I start with the New Testament. Since I'm so bull-headed and set in my ways I had to do it my way and start at the beginning. It's been very hard to trudge my way through the Old Testament. Sometimes it's very boring and I really have to force myself to keep reading. However I just finished The Book of Esther and I loved it! My cousin told me this was her favorite part of The Holy Bible and now I see why. What an awesome example Esther is to women everywhere. She was able to save her people by influencing her husband, the king. The best part of it was she didn't use cunning or scheming. She achieved her goal by simply being the sweet, kind person that she was. Like I said, what a wonderful example to women.
