So a lot of people have asked me, "What's the deal with you sticking your tongue out all the time?" Well, there's a story behind that.
My mother was 16 years old when she became pregnant with me and the doctor who attended to her decided that was too young. He told her that he knew a nice family that would be interested in adopting me. At first it seemed like a nice suggestion until my mother said no and he wouldn't drop it. He pestered her about it every time she came in for a visit. During the course of my mother's pregnancy a baby was taken from a hospital back east and was never found. With this on their minds and the fact that the doctor wanted so badly to adopt me to someone else, my family was on high alert.
The night I was born my whole family was very vigilant. They tell me that there was not a single minute in that hospital that one of my family members wasn't watching me. Shortly after I was born I decided to give the doctor my opinion on the adoption issue. Apparently, I peed on him and then stuck my tongue out at him.
This is a very popular story among my family, one that is always told with a lot of pride in me; so, it's not hard to guess that I was never reprimanded for sticking out my tongue. I never heard things like "Brittany, don't stick out your tongue." or "Stop that, it's rude." So to me it's not rude, it's funny. I don't see that attitude changing; therefore, I'm sure I'll be sticking my tongue out at people until I'm a withered old lady. It's just who I am.

Ha! You tell that dr.! Thanks, I'm glad you liked my story! I really want to find more ways to get involved, too. We should try to find something we could do together, wouldn't that be fun?
